Paul and Jim are collecting leaves. In Paul's collection of 40 leaves, 4 are oak. In Jim's collection of 36 leaves, 3 are oak. What is the fraction of oak to all other leaves in each pile (please simplify). Whose collection has a greater fraction of oak leaves.

5th & 6th Grades

Soon to be added to the grade level sites, this blog can really offer direct communication with the younger students as well. The goal is to involve the kids in "how" they learn by being active participants in the process. Go for it---> Teachers and students can blog!

7th Grade Access

Mr. C as added a link to directly connect 7th grade pre-algebra students to this blog. The purpose is to share concerns and ideas. Students can ask for help, specify what concepts they are having trouble learning, and they can offer their own ideas for class activities to enhance the learning environments. Way to go Mr. C !!
